Day 1 Crotone ( 1 night )
Arrival at Crotone Airport, and transfer to hotel. ( D )
Day 2 Crotone, Roccelletta, Jasmine Coast ( 2 nights )
Crotone, (Kroton) founded around the 7th century BC by Greek colonists. We also visit the Castle and the National Archaeological Museum. We continue to the Archaeological Park of Scolacium, where we see a mix of ancient Greek, Roman and Byzantine remains. We visit the Museum of Roccelletta which houses some of the finest examples of Roman sculpture along with other artefacts. Then to the hotel on the Jasmine Coast.

Day 3 Locri, Gerace
Excursion to Locri Epizephyrii an ancient Greek city founded in 7th century BC. Visit the archaeological excavations and the Museum. Continue to Gerace, the medieval town once called the "Florence of the South". Visit the Cathedral, Church of San Francesco and then to a textile craftsman's studio. After dinner enjoy an evening of folklore with locals in typical Calabrian Costumes and dancing. ( B D )
Day 4 Reggio Calabria, Scilla, Villa S. Giovanni, Taormina ( 3 nights )
Excursion to the two seas and Reggio di Calabria (Rhegion) founded by the ancient Greeks in 734 BC. Visit the world famous National Museum of Reggio Calabria where the "Bronzi di Riace" are kept. Walk along the Lungomare "the most beautiful kilometre in Italy" and gaze across the Straits of Messina towards Sicily. We then visit mythical Scilla and the enchanting “Chianalea” district before Villa S. Giovanni and departure for Sicily and check into hotel at Taormina. ( B D )
Day 5 Catania, Taormina
A morning sightseeing tour of Catania, (Katane) founded in 729 BC by the Chalcidians from Greece, with its amazing mix of architecture, and then it's off to the lovely mountain town of Taormina (Tauromenion) founded by the survivors of Naxos in 358 BC. We visit the well preserved Greco-Roman theatre, the Odeon and enjoy the spectacular views of Mount Etna. ( B D )
Day 6 Taormina
Day at leisure. Visit Taormina and go shopping along the famous "Corso Umberto" or just simply laze the day away, your choice. ( B D )
Day 7 Syracuse, Agrigento ( 3 nights )
Depart for Syracuse (Syrako), founded by the Corinthians in 734 BC, birthplace of Archimedes and at one time it surpassed Athens for beauty and power.
Visit the Greek temple of Apollo and The Ear of Dionysius in the archaeological park of Neopolis. We also visit the medieval quarter of Ortigia. Continue to Agrigento and check into hotel. ( B D)
Day 8 Agrigento
Visit the "Valley of the Temples" in Agrigento (Akragas) founded by the Geloans in 580 BC. with structures dating back to 520 B.C. It is a most impressive site. The temples of Jupiter, Castor, Hercules and the symbol of Agrigento, Concordia's Temple, are all contained in this amazing archaeological site. ( B D )
Day 9 Piazza Armerina
Departure for Piazza Armerina where we visit the best preserved example of a Roman villa "The Imperial Villa Del Casale", famous for its mosaics. Built between the 3rd and 4th centuries AD it is the most notable testimony to Roman Sicily. ( B D )
Day 10 Selinunte, Segesta, Palermo
Visit the ancient Greek city of Selinunte founded in 650 BC, the most important Archaeological Park of the Mediterranean with its majestic and outstanding ruins of Temples and the remains of the powerful walls and fortifications. Then on to Segesta founded in the 7th century BC by the Elymi. We visit the Greek Theatre of Segesta and perhaps the finest example of Doric architecture in the ancient Greek world, the Temple of Segesta. Then to Palermo and check into hotel. ( B D )
Day 11 Palermo ( 2 nights )
We visit Palermo (from the ancient Greek Panormos, all port), capital of Sicily. The artistic splendour of the city reflects the island's fascinating past with an eclectic mix of Arab and Norman architecture. Tour the city centre to see the major monuments and the vibrant but noisy street markets. ( B D )
Day 12 Departure
Transfer to the Palermo Airport and departure for your next destination.
